A new development, not a good one, but not as bad for me as it was for others:

Recently my employer laid off roughly 10% of the total hospital staff. This included patient care, physical plant, and administration. The remaining full-time workers, which I am grateful to be, had their hours cut by 10%.

Needless to say, I am increasing the urgency of my search. I would very much like to be back in greater Nashville this fall.
