The Texas Tribune posted a brief but informed article about the challenges that are facing hospitals in rural Texas. These are the conditions that caused the deep cuts in Stamford that led to my move to Stonewall County.

The situation is more stable here, mostly since Stonewall County is a critical access hospital.

Regardless, I have found my time in Texas rewarding, but I am ready to return to Nashville.
